Christian attributes manifested as signs of faith...Fruitfulness

Introduction - If we plant apple trees, we expect apples. The more apples that are produced, the happier we are. So when the Lord plants a seed of faith in our hearts, He expects our faith to produce something.

Explanation - Read John 15:1-6 - "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 'I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.'' (NKJV) Our lifestyle should be one of fruitfulness. The more fruit we produce, the happier the Lord becomes.

Application - What type of fruit does the Lord expect? He expects fruit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Any other fruit is of the flesh and rotten to the core.

Conclusion - The production of good fruit only happens when we walk in the Spirit being controlled by God. Galatians 5:16 says, "I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."
